Role Purpose

 

Responsibility for Global Accounts in the assigned area, managing and developing the portfolio of existing brands and penetrating “target” accounts to win new nominations. The manager will be responsible for identifying and developing strategic sales opportunities with assigned Global Accounts and relaying metrics on account performance to internal stakeholders that will achieve sales at or above plan level on an ongoing basis.

 

 

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

 

  • Define and implement sustainable, profitable sales growth strategies for the assigned territory and brands. Proactively engage with key decision-makers and build strong customer relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategic account concepts to protect existing businesses and drive profitable new growth through strengthened nominations and implement them in the production markets to ensure generating business potential.
  • Define new potential customers and develop plans to win new nominations, implement them, to build up a customer relationship for long-term profitable sales growth.
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, managing relationships, and ensuring all account needs and requirements are met. Maintain and enforce global contracts, BOM specifications, and agreements at both brand and contractor levels, negotiate price increases as necessary.
  • Leverage Coats’ technical expertise and solutions to provide customers with ideal product offerings and product improvement proposal (upselling). Engage and support with customers’ product development process. Identify product requirements and cooperate with Coats stakeholders to develop product solutions for the customer.
  • Work closely with commercial teams to drive sales growth within production markets. Regularly communicate with global markets to ensure brand specifications are enforced at the factory level. Maintain up-to-date source country and contractor lists, ensuring forecast accuracy and alignment with Coats’ supply chain.
  • Conduct monthly sales audits to capture all global account sales and identify potential growth opportunities.
  • Provide timely reports and insights into future opportunities, key market indicators, risks, and competitor activity.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities and industry trends to anticipate market shifts and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Partner with internal teams, including marketing, technical, supply chain, and production, to optimize account management and service delivery.
  • Actively participate in industry trade shows and customer meetings to strengthen brand presence and identify new business opportunities.
  • Work with Global Accounts Director US and Global Team to provide on-time reporting on a weekly and monthly basis and ensure the information provided is relevant and up to date.

 

 

Education, Qualifications, and Experience

 

Essential 

  • Strong acquisitions skills (hunter)
  • Strong networker
  • Ability to identify trends and technical developments at an early stage
  • Fluent in English
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of minimum 7 years of experience in commercial roles or track record in sales growth
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) at an advanced level
  • Experience in garment sourcing / manufacturing industry / product development
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Adaptable and willing to embrace change
  • Excellent communicator with strong presentation and negotiating skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to create and sustain relationships at all levels with both internal and external customers
  • Innovative self-starter with the ability to work independently and in groups
  • Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Willingness to relocate when necessary 

 

Desirable

  • MBA
  • Textile oriented education or courses
  • Experience in apparel environment with expert technical knowledge
  • Understands the brand dynamics and trim industry  
  • Proficiency in Spanish
